2009 Heart for Africa 5K Overall Finish List September 19, 2009 Long Run Lunatics / Columbia Track Club | |||||

Absolute perfect weather conditions were enjoyed by the 98 finishers of the 3rd Annual Heart for Africa 5K. Timothy Dunne set a new course record by taking top honors in the men’s race in a time of 16:37. Kevin Stone came in second by shaving off 1:33 from his time in last year’s race. Brianne Gallagher won the women’s race in a time of 18:24. Amanda Dunne, last year’s winner, came in second place.
A huge thank you to Dr. Sahba Jalali with Advanced Vision for providing the first place finishers’ awards and to Gary B. Robinson Jewelers, Dunn Bros. Coffee and SportClips for providing the door prizes. I hope to see you all next year as we will once again have the opportunity to show our heart for the needs of Africa.
