The Nut Race
5K Reactor Loop, Columbia, MO Feb. 3, 2001
With the temperature hovering around 30 degrees F., it's hard to label the 31 folks who showed up to race 5K as a bunch of nuts. In fact, Feb.3, 2001, will have to go down in the CTC record book as one of the best weather days we've had for the Nut Race. The course, basically a mile loop set on a hill, is deceptively fast under such good weather conditions and several runners had PRs. A very special thanks to Anne Hessler, Tom Allen, and Steve Stonecipher-Fisher for helping with race management
Dick Hessler, Race Director
